Meet The Team

Hello! I started Good Nature in 1999 with the help of my parents who encouraged me and let me live in their basement for a few years. Since then, thanks to open minded clients and hardworking, committed, and smart coworkers, we've been able to bring our healthy organic lawn care approach to more people in more cities than I ever thought possible back in 1999. Thanks everyone!

About me. I grew up in the country, outside of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. Growing up, I put our lawn to the test, playing just about any sport you could play on it. Mostly football, but also soccer, baseball, running bases - you name it. You could say I developed my passion for lawns and especially lawns safe to play on at an early age.

Today my wife and I are back in Chagrin Falls with our son and daughter. In our spare time we like working in the yard and playing touch football. Not much has changed in the last 20 years!

I chose to work for Good Nature because I believe we need to be better stewards of our planet, and Good Nature’s values align with mine. I have a bachelor’s degree in biology from Hiram College and I am an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist. I was also an agroforestry volunteer in the U.S. Peace Corps in Paraguay and the Philippines.

I am married with one son. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, eating food, and drinking local beer! My favorite outdoor activities are camping, hiking, gardening, and cross-country skiing.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I believe in the mission and ideals of the company. Also, I see the growth potential in the Organic Lawn Care industry as a whole. I have my Masters in Human Resource Management and Bachelors in Business Administration, both from DeVry University.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife and daughter, as well as our extremely energetic Cavalier King Charles. During the Summer I pitch in a local amateur baseball league, as well as play softball in the Fall.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I needed to make a change in my life and in myself, and Good Nature was a perfect fit. In my free time, I love going shooting and collecting old guns. I have three dogs and two cats. I am also married with two children. Other hobbies of mine are hunting, fishing, bowling, and golfing.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I really liked the company’s idea of trying to make the world a better place by using organic alternatives in lawn care. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental Science, specializing in Water Quality from Ohio State University. I also certified by the state to apply pesticides. In my personal time, I love to read, play games and watch movies. I married my best friend, Sydney, who also works at Good Nature and we have a dog named Nyx, who has become the company mascot.

I've always been interested in helping the planet and living a more environmentally sustainable lifestyle, so working for Good Nature really aligns with that. I'm a U.S. Air Force Veteran and have a degree in Broadcasting from the Ohio Center of Broadcasting. I'm currently training for my 7th marathon, so I spend a lot of time running... and then running some more! Other than that, I enjoy  hiking, traveling to new locations, and coaching/watching baseball games with my 15-year-old son, Logan.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I genuinely care about the environment and making a difference in this world.

My personal values align with the Good Nature ethos, which made working here an easy choice. I believe if I feel positive about how my labor is impacting the world, I will feel more connected to a sense of gratitude and appreciation for everything around me. My background includes some college in the liberal arts vein, Asbestos Abatement, and a lifetime in the school of hard knocks.

I was drawn to Good Nature Organic Lawn Care because I wanted to help those in need and work with nature.

I have an Associates of Arts from Tri-C. In my free time, I really enjoy drawing, writing, hiking and spending time outdoors. When I'm looking for more of an adventure, I try exploring the world through traveling and camping.

I was drawn to Good Nature Organic Lawn Care because of the work environment, and mission of the company. 

I'm honestly a fan of all sports. I like to work on my house as well, inside and outside. In my spare time, I train and breed dogs. Something you might not know about me is that I'm color-blind.

I wanted to work at Good Nature because I love the outdoors and I like how this company does not use chemicals when applying their fertilizers, which makes everything better for the environment. I graduated from Normandy High School

I have always had an interest in working outdoors, but I wanted to be a part of a company with great values, trying to make a positive impact. I began working with Good Nature (Cleveland) shortly after college, back in 2006. In 2008, Alec and I started up our Good Nature Columbus operation. It is very gratifying to be able to offer our great services to more and more customers each year. In college, I majored and graduated with a Finance degree from Ohio University, in Athens. I am an ODA-certified applicator and a Landscape Industry Certified Lawn Care Technician through the National Association of Landscape Professionals.

Currently, I live in Westerville with my wife, Mary, and our 3 children. We also have a dog, Cos. Family is first for me! Growing up in the Cleveland area, I was born into my Cleveland sports fandom, but I embrace it all the same. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, exercise, and exploring new areas with my family. I am also an active practitioner in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Any other spare time, I am a novice carpenter and enjoy building projects around the house and yard.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I enjoy helping people and meeting new people. I have always had an interest in turf - I grew up working on a golf course with my dad’s grounds crew. I wanted to continue in the ‘Green Industry’ and Good Nature provides a good product and service without the harmful chemicals, for a safer lawn! In college, I majored in Turf Grass Science and Agribusiness at The Ohio State University and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Agriculture. I am also an ODA-certified applicator and a Landscape Industry Certified Technician through the National Association of Landscape Professionals.

At home, I have a Golden Retriever, Zander who is my homie. I have 12 tattoos and counting. I believe that they are a great way to express one’s self and share individuality through art. Each has a meaning and a story! In my free time, I love to hike, kayak, draw, play video games, and read (a lot of nerd stuff). I also enjoy hanging out with friends. I love craft beers, especially here in Columbus. There are so many great breweries to try!

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I enjoy working outside, meeting new people, and being around animals/pets. Good Nature is a quality company with great leadership, not to mention the perk of working without chemicals! I have been a Lawn Technician with Good Nature since 2009. Currently, I am an ODA-Certified Applicator and a Landscape Industry Certified Technician through the National Association for Landscape Professionals.

I am married to a wonderful woman named Sarah and together we have a great son. I enjoy all Ohio State sports! I have been an Ohio State University football usher for 15 years. Other than that, I love swimming and all beach activities. I especially love family trips to the beach in the Summer!

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I have a passion for the Green Industry. I also wanted to broaden my skill set by trying something new. I am currently an ODA-Certified Applicator.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because the world needs more successful organic companies in it. I completed Dr. Elaine Ingham’s Soil Symposium series, and have extensively studied native edible plants.

My mantra is that healthy living begins with healthy soil! My interests include sustainable living, social justice, as well as protecting and enjoying our natural resources. I have a big family, consisting of my brothers and sisters and their children. My favorite outdoor activity would definitely be backpacking! I also enjoy playing video games, going to festivals, and adrenaline sports.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I love to help people. I have always cared about our environment and wanted to take care of the world we all share.

Previously in my career, I earned my Food Safety Certification with the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals. I have also volunteered multiple times with Living Lands and Waters.

In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, gardening, camping, working on cars, and watching movies. I also love animals of all kinds, especially reptiles.

The outdoors has always been a huge part of my life and has been one of the primary factors in who I am today as a person. Finding a company that not only allows me to work outdoors, but also helps me support the environment, was almost too perfect to be true.

I graduated high school with a diploma of Distinction in Mathematics. I currently have completed 3 semesters at Columbus State, but with all my prerequisites done, I have taken a step back to figure out the exact direction I want to take with my degree. I am currently certified in First Aid and CPR.

My personal interests include spending time with my twin brother and the other non-twins in my family. I enjoy quiet nights with my girlfriend and our dog and cat. My favorite outdoor activity would probably have to be teaching children on Ohio's wildlife and geography. I spent the last five summers working as a counselor at a sleep away camp, that had a focus on education of basic OLS and the surrounding wildlife. While indoors, my favorite hobby would have to be reading. I have always been an avid reader and have recently finished one of my favorite fantasy series by Robin Hobb.

Working for Good Nature appealed to me because I was looking for a change of pace. I have also been pursuing getting back involved with the Boy Scouts of America.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and playing board games. Outdoor activities I love include camping, hunting, and fishing. I also love learning, and am an avid reader. 

Working at Good Nature was appealing to me because I enjoy learning about organic methods and practices for gardening and lawn care. The mission of the company to make the world a better place also aligns with my personal goals. 

One of my favorite hobbies is fly fishing, which I have been doing my entire life. I am also a member of Trout Unlimited, and I enjoy the community that it has brought into my life. Other activities I love include snowboarding, and gardening. I have a nine-year-old Selkirk Rex cat named Nora who thinks she rules planet Earth.

Working for Good Nature was a simple choice because I believe in the mission of eliminating toxic chemicals in our environment to make the world a cleaner, better, and safer place to live, one person at a time.

I have a girlfriend named Chloe that I live with, as well as our cat Myles. At my dad's house, I have 2 dogs, a Golden named Clover, who is mine, and a Westie named Charlie. I have a little sister that lives with my dad and is in high school. I love fishing, hockey, football, skiing, and hiking! I really enjoy watching sports in my free time, most particularly I am a lifelong Browns and Bluejackets fan.

I've always had a love of the outdoors and natural remedies. Good Nature seemed like a great place to delve into that love of nature further and learn along the way. I have a Bachelor's degree from Tiffin University, and have earned the title of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. I am married and my wife and I have five adorable cats.

Working for Good Nature was appealing because the team seemed friendly, and my values aligned with those of the company. Good Nature's Organic Approach to Lawn Care is so important in today's world to help reduce carbon emissions, prevent health-related side effects from chemicals, and to lower the prevalence of eutrophication, algal blooms, and aquatic death in our waterways.

In 2023 I graduated from Ohio University with a B.A. in Environmental Biology and a certification in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, and Resilience. I am also certified in First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, and Forklift Operation. I completed a 1700-Hour AmeriCorps term through Rural Action, with Athens-Hocking Recycling Center, a non-profit in Athens, Ohio, where I learned how to be more sustainable and how to be a better leader in the community.

A fun fact about me is that I am a fraternal twin. My sister lives in Oxford, Ohio. I have two cats currently with my partner. Mars is a white and orange cat and Ruby Tuesday (her name was my choice, haha!) is an all-black cat. I am very passionate about all things related to sustainability and the common good of the community. I absolutely love the outdoors, and spend a lot of time going creaking, or on bike rides. Indoors, I love to read and watch movies. I also enjoy collecting vinyl records and listening to music from all kinds of different genres.

I like working for Good Nature because it feels good to contribute to a growing company that cares deeply about its people.  Equally, Good Nature is making a measurable positive impact on our environment through its commitment to the organic approach. I have a Bachelor’s of Science from Purdue University. I also have a Lean Six Sigma Certification.

I currently live in the heart of downtown Indy in the cultural district of Fountain Square with my wife and our Boston Terrier, Roxie. I am an avid Boilermaker (Boiler Up!!!!) and a Colts fan. I enjoy staying active outdoors, traveling and spending time with my family and friends.

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I want to do my part in helping the world become a little greener, as well as discover ways to improve myself.

Good Nature embodies what every company should be like, while supporting it's team members on personal improvement. I also chose to work for Good Nature because I love being outside. I get paid to work out. I enjoy the physical labor and there are so many growth opportunities, the sky is the limit.

I am attending school to become a Holistic Health Coach and Nutritionist. I am a high school graduate with some college completed.

The outdoor activities that I enjoy are endless, but mainly golfing, walking, swimming, and soaking up the sun. During the Winter I like to play video games. I have 5 dogs and they are all Shorkies. I have one son who is 11 and is the most amazing kid I know.

I chose to work for Good Nature because I stand behind the Mission and Vision of the company. I have known since High School that the chemicals some people use in their yards are toxic to the environment and everything that inhabits the planet. I have never known how to counter the use of them, other than just not using them myself. Good Nature has created the opportunity for not only me, but our customers as well, to be able to make an impact on the environment around us, and make the planet a better place, one yard at a time. I can't wait to grow with the company and assist in the growth of others as well!

Right out of High School, I joined the Marine Corps where I spent 4 years in infantry with 3rd Battalion 6th Marines. Teufelhunden!

A big interest of mine is to be able to be fully self-sustainable for my family. Just like how there are harmful chemicals used in lawns, there are also harmful chemicals used in a lot of produce and meats in the stores. My goal by the end of 2026 is to have a garden filled with any fruits or vegetables that my family needs, and to harvest all of our meat from animals myself. When the weather is cooperative, I love to hunt, fish, and just be outside enjoying nature. I have also been known to play the occasional video game.

I was drawn to working at Good Nature because I believe in what the company stands for. Prior to joining the team, I graduated from Noblesville High School. I hope to continue my education to get my Associate Degree in Business.

I have one dog named Gigi, and a cat named Zoey. I can be an adrenaline junkie. I love cars, and going for joy rides. I love the outdoors. I love to travel, hike, kayak, and tube down the river with good friends. When indoors, I enjoy learning about space and the planets, playing games, and watching movies. One fun fact about me is that I am fluent in Spanish.

I chose to work for Good Nature because of their commitment to making our world more organic, healthy, and beautiful! Good Nature shares the passion I have for the environment and it's amazing to work with like-minded people. I am a recent graduate from Indiana State University with a Bachelor's of Science and Education. I am a certified teacher in the state of Indiana while having equal passion for the environment and teaching. I have taught environmental education both locally and around the world.

In my free time, my interests range from coaching or watching baseball, hanging out with my friends or family, playing with my two dogs, or doing something creative. My favorite outdoor activities are baseball, hiking, biking, planting flowers, and concerts. When I'm inside, I love to cook, watch movies and play the occasional video/board game(s).

I chose to work for Good Nature because our commitment to environmental preservation and positive company culture mirrors my own personal beliefs. I also love to work outside! I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications from York College of Pennsylvania. I'm a Landscape Industry Certified Turfgrass Professional and I am an ODA-certified Commercial Applicator.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend, daughter and our three cats. If I’m not riding a bike, I’m probably busy taking sports way too seriously, or trying to explore new restaurants and microbreweries.

I chose to work at Good Nature because I love to work outside and experience the outdoors. It is an added bonus that our company helps the environment. Currently, I have a Commercial Applicator License. 

In my free time, I love to play (and listen) to music, cook, spend time with friends and family and travel. Some other hobbies of mine are playing guitar, brewing beer and cooking food!

I am married with three kids and two grandchildren. We have two dogs and two cats. I enjoy cars, traveling and game nights with my friends.

I chose to work for Good Nature because I wanted to help provide a healthy environment while educating others on the importance of going organic. At home, I have a rescue dog named Brownie (named after the Browns). I enjoy working out daily and being active. I always love hanging around my friends. In my personal time, I enjoy hiking with my dog in the metros and playing basketball in a league. You can pretty much find me enjoying the outside weather all the time!

I wanted to work at Good Nature because of the welcoming work environment, friendly coworkers, and because of how much the company cares about their employees! I currently have a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology.

In my personal time, I really try to stay active by doing things like hiking, biking and lifting weights. I also like to spend time trying new restaurants in Cleveland, reading and spending time with my boyfriend and his dog. Other than that, you can find me swimming, road tripping and exploring all there is about Cleveland!

I wanted to work for Good Nature because it was an organic lawn care company, instead of a chemical lawn care company. I am a Certified Turfgrass Professional and I graduated from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s in Communication. I have also been a member of the Sierra Club since 1998.

I have a wife, two kids, and a dog. In my personal time, I enjoy doing yoga, kayaking, going bird watching, bicycling, gardening, and other environmental activities.

I wanted to work for Good Nature to help people navigate the world or organic and natural options when it comes to lawn care and gardening. I have a background and degree in Sustainable Agriculture. Additionally, I've worked on organic and regenerative farms within the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, where I received a certificate for the New Farmers Academy.

I would like to possibly own my own land to be able to set up a small orchard where I can also raise chickens, hogs, and rabbits. I enjoy hiking, biking, gardening, and reading.

My values very much align with the mission of Good Nature Organic Lawn Care. Additionally, I was immediately drawn to the company, as it seemed very welcoming and employee-focused.

I have an Associate Science Degree from Ohio State University in Animal Science. I am married and have one bulldog. I like to go camping and hunting. Also my family are gear heads, so I'll help my brother and dad with their small drag racing truck. Some hobbies that interest me include woodworking, adventures in the great outdoors, astronomy, cooking, cars and trucks. I also enjoy watching and attending hockey games. It's a dream of mine to travel more and visit other countries.

I live a holistic lifestyle of using natural remedies and staying healthy. Good Nature wants to bring these ideas to your home and keep you, your family, and your lawn healthy and safe so working with Good Nature is a great fit for me! I also run a side business where I make commissioned embroidery and paintings. 

I chose to work for Good Nature because I have 2 children and it is important to me to protect the environment that they will grow up in. After learning about Good Natures' values I knew this would be a great fit for me. This is my second year with the company and I know I made the right choice! I love working with our incredible clients who are supportive and dedicated to our mission of making the world a better place! I'm looking forward to continuing on my journey here and expanding and growing with the company!

I wanted to work for Good Nature because I had heard such amazing things about the company and the work environment. I also believe in the sustainability of the product and the impact on the environment. I have a Master's in Education and taught at Kent State for a number of years.

I love the outdoors, especially hiking and kayaking. My family spends as much time outside as we can. I read a lot; I love mysteries and biographies, but will read just about anything. I love to paint, draw and craft. My husband Matt and I have two daughters, Emily who is a college Junior and Abby who is a high school senior. We have a neurotic rescue dog named Pippin (after the Lord of the Rings character) who I adore! It brings me happiness to be part of a great team.
